He started his Arts journey in his school days, from primary to pre-u days, from a stage host, comedian, speaker to an actor. He was then spotted by ‘Kalai Pithers Group’ and he and his group was invited to participate in their stage shows and that slowly brought fame and popularity to him.
Mr Elengoven took part in radio dramas for children like Maanavar Medai etc, directed mainly by Mr P. Krishnan and went in to act in radio dramas produced by many directors.
TV Producer Mr Kalaiselvan called him to act in a TV show pairing him with Ms Kalaiyarasi @ ‘Sokki’. That pairing took both of them right to the top. Purushothaman and Sokki’ their stage names, became household names not only in Singapore but Malaysia as well.
Hosting and Comedy Acts during Weddings, Birthdays, CC Events, Indian New Year Programmes, National Day Functions, Annual Dinner and Dance Events etc became his forte. He started hosting many multicultural shows due to the languages profiency in English, Tamil, Malay and Hokkien. Elengoven is now a full time Entertainer and Event Organizer specialising in Entertainments for various functions and occasions.
